December 6, 2026 Young Arena Closing Date on Registrations: November 16, 2026

Eligibility: The Holiday Gala is open to all Cedar Valley Figure Skating Club Members, Associate Members and Learn to Skate participants who are registered for classes in the Fall 2025 Session #2.

Required Practice Dates: Saturday, November 21st and Saturday, December 5 th 9:00-10:00 am. Skaters will be assigned to practice a 30 minute block during this time.

Cost for entry in the Holiday Gala: $60.00 per skater (Fee includes ice and coaching for two 30-minute practice sessions on dates listed above)

Optional additional practice sessions requested: $10.00 per 30 minute session (Please indicate the time you are requesting on lines below)

Practice schedules will be emailed to all participants by November 17th.

Other Information:

Programs: All programs for the Holiday Gala will be 1 to 1 ¼ minutes in length. Skaters can choose to skate a solo or in a group of 2 or 3 skaters of a similar level. Learn to Skate coaches will choreograph all programs and teach the choreography to the skaters during assigned practice times.

Practice: All Learn to Skate participants who do not take private lessons will be assigned a time to work with a coach on November 21st and December 5th between 9:00 and 10:00 am to learn the program they will skate in the exhibition. Skaters will practice for a total of 30 minutes each day. Twenty minutes will be spent with a coach and ten minutes will be individual practice time. Practice schedules for the two Saturdays will be emailed by November 17th.

Additional Practice: If skaters wish to have additional practice time beyond the two 30-minute sessions included with registration, additional sessions of 30 minutes each can be purchased on Sunday, November 21st between 3:00-5:00 pm and Thursday, December 3 rd between 5:30 and 7:30 pm. The additional practice sessions will be individual practice time, coaches will not be available for instruction during this time. Skaters will be allowed to practice their program with the music up to two times during these additional sessions. The cost for each additional 30-minute session is $10.00. Additional sessions can be selected in advance or may be added by request later if a skater feels they need extra practice. Skaters must request extra time before showing up to practice to make sure there is adequate time for all skaters to practice with music during their requested time slots.

Music: Skaters are allowed to select their own music for this exhibition. All music selections must be approved by the Skating Director. Music selections must be family friendly for all ages. No music with inappropriate lyrics or language will be allowed. All selections are on first come first served basis, two skaters will not be allowed to skate to the same music. If you need help selecting music, please contact the skating director for suggestions.

Costumes: Skaters are free to choose their own appropriate costumes for this event. Skating dresses/pants, dance dresses, show costumes, leggings with leotards, pants with t-shirts are all acceptable options.

Admission: We will be charging $5.00 for admission to the Holiday Gala at the door for all audience members age 3 and up.
